Competition Levels
The Mr. America Championship may offer the following competition levels at select events. Competition levels are administrative classifications and do not affect judging standards.
Open
Open to all eligible competitors regardless of prior competition history.
Novice
Open to competitors who have not previously placed first in a Novice division at a sanctioned physique or bodybuilding competition.
True Novice
Open to competitors who have never competed in a sanctioned physique or bodybuilding competition.
All competitors are judged using the same criteria within their selected division, regardless of competition level.
